THE CLIENT AND THEIR NEEDS:
Our client needed to migrate its on-premises Murex platform to a SaaS model. The bank required seamless migration while maintaining business coverage and continuity, specifically for FXO (Foreign Exchange Options).
FENIXYS’ ENGAGEMENT:
Fenixys acted as the strategic advisor throughout the Murex SaaS Lift & Shift project. Our role was to guide the bank through the migration process, ensuring all business processes were aligned with the new SaaS environment. The engagement focused on delivering technical guidance, overseeing validation phases (including integration and end-user testing), and addressing potential challenges. The project was organized into five-week SaaS increments:
- 1 week of preparation to define the scope and align team members.
- 3 weeks for building and conducting unit testing with Murex and client teams.
- 1 week for deployment, activation of connectivity, and interface testing.
SUCCESSFUL DELIVERY AND IMPACT:
Fenixys successfully delivered the Murex migration on time (6 months) and within budget. By closely collaborating with Murex and the bank, we ensured the client’s specific requirements were met, dependencies were managed effectively, and all validation phases were executed to meet client standards. Our advisory services helped the bank transition smoothly to the SaaS environment with minimal disruption, leading to high client satisfaction. The project outcomes included seamless migration, business alignment, and proactive resolution of potential challenges.
