The client is a leading provider of power to large consumers in the Nordics. Our client faced challenges in navigating the dynamic energy market in a time of uncertainty, needing advice on their business model and strategic direction.
At the same time, their trading- and risk capabilities and know-how were very centralized around a few key employees, causing a lack of understanding and overview from a management perspective.
FENIXYS’ ENGAGEMENT:
Fenixys was engaged in 2 overlapping projects for the client. First, we offered our guidance on the scenarios for the energy market outlook and provided advisory on the clients’ business strategy with a heavy focus on their pricing, trading, and risk management capabilities.
Secondly, we utilized our knowledge and expertise on energy markets to document the clients’ as-is business processes and system landscape within pricing, trading, and risk management with the purpose of identifying and weighting the risks of the current business model, meanwhile helping management understand and prioritize these risks.
